Pod console not working?

Hi,

I just bought machinarium and I'm currently at the console panel with an arrow and 4 buttons. I've tried every single combination but the play button doesn't seem to work at all. I've found an walkthrough that reports that I should place the arrow at 4 o'clock and press play but nothing happens. Bug?

From your description it sounds like you're playing the "Catch The Dog" sequence.  Here's the walkthrough image (from our walkthrough archive). 
There are several topics about this episode in the Machinarium Puzzle Q&A section ( try searching for "dog" ). 

The other advice I'll give you is: Look closely at the walkthrough image and keep in mind that when Europeans write the number "7" they add a stroke through it to distinguish it from the number "1".

I've already tried it (that's the dog sequence indeed) but what I'm reporting is that the Play button doesn't work, I press and nothing happens, no sound, no animation, nothing.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+
