Great news!  I was 50% wrong and it's time to get excited!!  Amanita Design has tweeted (in essence) that a Samorost3 demo is not far off.

"tomorrow we are heading to Japan for @BitSummit Indie game festival where we'll present the lastest playable demo of #Samorost3."
